I've been watching this debate with great curiosity. I hope I can be as impartial as possible as I'm 1.Irish and 2.a civilian.

I think we have to remember that it's the British press making all the fuss, and we all know what they're like! They're trying to make out that America specifically sought out British expertise in these matters, but all the evidence points to them listening to visiting British pilots who just happened to be there at the time. And those British crews were there to be taught by Americans!

So try not to get too upset over it, it's just the British press doing what they do best - making trouble.
