Apparently we are so afraid of our own politically correct, gender-race-religion-neutral shadow the 5 sided puzzle palace cannot even attribute probable motivations in the Ft. Hood massacre. From Time Magazine:
The Fort Hood Report: Why No Mention of Islam?
The U.S. military's just-released report into the Fort Hood shootings spends 86 pages detailing various slipups by Army officers but not once mentions Major Nidal Hasan by name or even discusses whether the killings may have had anything to do with the suspect's view of his Muslim faith. And as Congress opens two days of hearings on Wednesday into the Pentagon probe of the Nov. 5 attack that left 13 dead, lawmakers want explanations for that omission.John Lehman, a member of the 9/11 commission and Navy Secretary during the Reagan Administration, says a reluctance to cause offense by citing Hasan's view of his Muslim faith and the U.S. military's activities in Muslim countries as a possible trigger for his alleged rampage reflects a problem that has gotten worse in the 40 years that Lehman has spent in and around the U.S. military. The Pentagon report's silence on Islamic extremism "shows you how deeply entrenched the values of political correctness have become," he told TIME on Tuesday. "It's definitely getting worse, and is now so ingrained that people no longer smirk when it happens." [more]
Leadership in the military is taught the principles of being "apolitical" when making decisions, analyzing actions, and identifying future strategies. "Apolitical" is not synonymous with 'politically correct." If FACTS are avoided in an effort to 'not offend' we are negligent to our troops, our oaths, and our country. PC has no place in after action reports! Period!

Your thoughts?

"Unfortunately this report came out before the trial of Major Hasan, so exact details of this act of terrorism are left out.
It is very telling that there is no mention of “Muslim” and only one reference to “Islam” (that reference is to a title of a report used in a footnote - NOT the main body of the report). This speaks volumes to the PC driven insanity of the writers.
It is impossible to fight a threat if you restrict yourself from identifying the treat by name. The threat comes from a very specific profile, yes profile. The Army in two attacks has lost seven soldiers and had over two dozen wounded in two incidents (the 101st Airborne/March 2003 and Ft. Hood), in which a person of a very specific profile makes worrisome statements that should have been taken as warning bells, turned a PC blinded eye to the threat.
The same mentality has refused to acknowledge the true motivation of the assassin who killed two recruiters in Arkansas, even though the defendant has NO problem talking about it. Political Correctness is a self inflicted mental illness that can only lead to the acceptance of lower standards that borders on suicidal."
